Lewis County Man Arrested For First Degree Murder
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Thursday arrested a Lewis County man for first degree murder after an investigation into the death of his wife.
A domestic dispute occurred at a residence located at 702 Gaither-Hinson Road in Waynesboro where James Hobbs, 73 ran over his wife Janice Hobbs, 69 with his vehicle on Hwy 99 West.
Janice Hobbs died at a result of her injuries. James Hobbs has been charged with first degree murder.
The Hobbs own Buffalo River Canoe Rental in Lewis County. TBI are investigating at the request of District Attorney General Kim Helper.
